HTC Respond (again) to video issues

A few weeks back the HTC video issue was being discussed everywhere on the web. After a while HTC posted their official response to the issue and said that there was no problem and their handsets were operating as expected. Now there's an extra twist to the story, as HTC's top engineers have been on the case and have found a fix which should "dramatically improve performance for common on-screen tasks like scrolling and the like". Indeed, we spotted the issue ourselves in these videos whilst browsing in Internet Explorer.

The full HTC statement is below. It's not a new driver, it's some "software optimization". They will be using the ATI Imageon video acceleration in many of their future products... just not in ones currently affected.
